Strawberries

The reason I became interested in gardening - strawberries!  My friends in Mount Gambier were picking I think a kilo of strawberries every couple of days, and I wanted to be able to do likewise.

They gave us some plants to take back

Now 5 years later, I finally am having a decent harvest of strawberries!!!, many of which are probably descended from those first plants I received.

Many damaged berries from birds / bugs - but also many perfectly intact delicious ones.  Once you get to a certain point there's enough to be able to share some with the wildlife.
